The Primary Six children have worked really hard over the last nine weeks engaging in Ceili dancing with tutor Brenda Murphy. We welcomed Brenda to our school every Tuesday afternoon for an hour long dance session with some Irish story telling. Thank you Brenda for your generosity of time and enthuasism.
A conclusion came with the children attending the Lakeland Forum where all schools who had participated in the programme gathered for an opoportunity to showcase their dancing and under take a 'party piece' performance. Our children had worked with Miss McGarrigle to perfrom Twinkle Twinkle on their tin whsitle and sing the words in irish. Boys and girls, you were amazing!!! #Blessed with the BEST!
The children were fantastic role models for our school with some children enjoying the experience more than others, but nevertheless everyone fully participated. Miss McGarrigle certainly enjoyed it as she partnered up and danced with a smile on her face!
