There has been great excitement in the school over the last few weeks in anticipation of the chicks in the P1 classroom to hatch. Finally, on Friday past, the moment had arrived and the children got to visit the brand-new, fluffy chicks. The beautiful weather for Golden Time; an outdoor disco; and visiting and cuddling fluffy baby chicks made for a great end to the week ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.
In other news, the new books from the Book Fair sales have arrived in the school library (Thank you all for your support, the children are delighted with the new additions!) and Mrs McAloon has brought the children to the library daily for both guided and individual reading.
We also had Buddy Reading with the P3 children on Tuesday afternoon which is always greatly enjoyed.
