P5/6 Outdoor Learning Week
This week the children in our school are enjoying some outdoor learning fun.
So far this week the children in P5/6 have practiced their counting and ordering skills by playing hopscotch; they have searched for examples of right, acute and obtuse angles in the great outdoors; they have counted how many jumps they can do in one minute using a variety of techniques and sorted the data into tables; and they have used directional language such as left, right and forward to direct their blindfolded partner safely around our mobile.
Today the children were learning about nouns and noun phrases and were tasked with finding examples of nouns outside in the playground and taking pictures of them.
Even though the weather has been a bit miserable so far this week, we have managed to get outside for some great learning opportunities in between the showers and we are hoping to get some more outside learning done by the end of the week.
