Wednesday 7th June 2023 saw the children in St. Patrick's Primary School undertake their annual sports day!🏃♀️🏃♂️
There was much excitement in school that morning as the children and staff set off for the Harps pitch. 💜💛💜💛
Thank you to Spar Shop, Derrygonnelly for the donation of our Sports Day kits. They are wonderful and really appreciated.
The weather was cooler and served as the perfect conditions for a day of sporting fun and activities.😃
Primary One to Primary Four children began with their races, running, egg and spoon and sack while children in classes Primary Five to Primary Seven undertook sporting activities with school coach Mr Kelm.
Then the children swapped over.
Primary Five to Primary Seven children undertook their races while the Primary One to Primary Four children worked with Mr Kelm.
Children enjoyed lunch on the pitch and some free play. 🍟🍭🏐
The appearance of the ice-cream van was welcomed! Primary One and Primary Two started the queue. ✨
Children in classes P3 - P7 undertook the Cross Country long distance run with the perfect incentive of an ice-cream cone or a slushi after it!!!! 🍦
Our children are a true credit to our parents and school. EVERY child finished EVERY race! The perservance, enthuasism and smiles were truly inspirational. Wonderful qualities for our children to possess! Unfortunately, we can't all be winners and that can be hard learning but our children took it all in their stride, swallowed hard and smiled big!!!! #we are all stars, we just shine in different ways! ✨✨✨
